Fireworks in the Glass City

Toledo likes setting off fireworks and living in the "Warehouse District" downtown I've seen my share. When the Mud Hen's season was winding down, I'd could see the explosions from my apartment when the ballpark had "fireworks nights." And over Labor Day, the Other Clerks, Wabes, and I went to the roof deck to watch two shows.

This picture was taken the night of the 15th. Apparently, many years ago, lightning struck the church's steeple and it burned like a torch. The church only recently received a donation to rebuild and celebrated (in an ironically risky fashion) when the job was done.

New Location! New State!

So it's been a while since I've posted and as pretty much anyone who might read this already knows, I'm no longer in Downstate New York. I have now located to Upstate Ohio. Yup - Toledo to be exact. I'm clerking for a judge here so I will write even less about work than I did when I was at the Firm. But maybe those you who couldn't care less about the life of a twentysomething in New York City (because it's a life you know all too well) will find the life of a thirtysomething (gulp!) in the most random a midwestern cities more entertaining. If there's anything for me to entertain you with outside of work my work life. We'll see.
